On Sunday, the 6th of September 2026, DGOffice will be updated. This release includes improvements of existing functionalities, data enhancements, and regulatory updates.
Regulatory amendments for September 2026
The following are the most significant:
- Extensive amendments to the Canadian TDG Regulations, including:
New UN numbers and shipping names: UN 0511–0513, Electronic detonators
UN 3536, Lithium batteries installed in cargo transport units
UN 3537–3548, Articles containing dangerous goods
UN 3549, Category A medical waste
UN 3550, Cobalt dihydroxide powder
Revised and discontinued UN entries, including the phase-out of UN 1169
New, revised and discontinued special provisions
- Revised packing requirements and introduction of new standards for means of containment and large packagings
New dry ice coolant entries:
- Separate UN 1845 entries for dry ice used as coolant with dangerous goods and with non-dangerous goods
- Revised U.S. 49 CFR requirements for refrigerating machines:
- Updated quantity limits and exceptions for newer low-flammability refrigerants
