Lithium batteries update

From Friday, the 1st of April 2022, the Excepted versions are no longer available for loose cells/batteries, according to Section II of their packing instruction in Air (ICAO/IATA).

Excepted batteries

Specifically, it concerns:

  • UN 3480, lithium-ion batteries, cell ≤ 20WH Excepted, battery ≤ 100 WH excepted, and;
  • UN 3090, lithium metal batteries, cell < 1G Excepted, battery < 2G excepted.

Of course, the DGOffice solutions are updated as well.
